Take ownership of your listing on TOPSCINET so you can update your affiliation, add a photo, and link your scholarly accounts.

Step-by-step guide

Create your account

Open the TOPSCINET home page and click Sign Up in the top navigation. Fill out the signup form using the email address issued by your university or research institute — personal addresses cannot be used for verification.

Confirm your email

Open your inbox and look for the confirmation message from info@datametalab.com. Click the verification link inside to activate your account. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder or request a new link from the sign-in screen.

Tip: Add @datametalab.com and @topscinet.com to your safe-sender list so future notifications never land in spam.

Locate your listing

Sign back in and use the search bar at the homepage to look up your full name. If you publish under multiple name variants, try each one — the listing was generated from indexed publication data and may use a different spelling.

Submit your claim

Open your profile page. A notification banner sits across the top — click Claim Profile and confirm that the listing belongs to you. Your request is sent to our review team immediately.

Wait for approval
Manual review

A member of the TOPSCINET team checks every claim by hand to keep the directory trustworthy. Most claims are approved within 1–3 business days. You'll receive a confirmation email the moment your profile is verified.

Once approved, a blue verified tick appears next to your name everywhere on the site.

Personalize your profile

From your dashboard, edit any field on your page — upload a profile photo, refine your current affiliation, write a short bio, and connect your external scholarly accounts.
