Position Overview

Odessa College Continuing Education is seeking a Licensed Massage Therapy Instructor to join its instructional team. This part-time position offers up to 19 hours per week over a 9-month program duration.

The instructor will teach massage therapy coursework, including both lecture and hands-on practical instruction, helping students develop the professional skills required for success in the field. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and engaging educator who inspires students and fosters an inclusive, professional learning environment.

Class Schedule

• Days: Monday – Thursday

• Time: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• Clinical Internship: Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Includes an online learning component

• Participation in community events may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Teach all aspects of massage therapy curriculum according to established college guidelines.

• Follow course syllabi and maintain compliance with institutional standards.

• Provide a supportive and engaging classroom environment that enhances student learning.

• Maintain professional relationships with students, faculty, and the community.

• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Collaborate with Health Careers Directors and assist with assigned departmental duties.

• Participate in college-related and community-based activities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in the state of Texas.

• Massage Therapy Instructor License in Texas.

• Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in massage therapy or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3) years of teaching experience in massage therapy.
