Position Overview

Coastal Carolina Community College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor – Massage Therapy. The instructor will deliver classroom and laboratory instruction in therapeutic massage, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for students.

Responsibilities include presenting lesson plans, demonstrating hands-on massage techniques, and supervising clinical lab experiences. The instructor will also assist in maintaining program quality, adhering to North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy standards, and completing required documentation promptly and accurately.

Salary & Schedule

• Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour

• Start Date: August 1, 2024

• Schedule: Part-time, flexible based on class requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Current License in Massage & Bodywork Therapy (LMBT)

  • OR licensure in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, or Nursing

• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in the respective field

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a related discipline

• Prior teaching or instructional experience

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and lab instruction aligned with college and board standards

• Demonstrate and supervise hands-on massage therapy techniques

• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback

• Collaborate with supervisors to enhance program quality

• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices

• Maintain accurate records and submit required documentation on time
