Position Overview

Mohave Community College is seeking qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach in the Medical Assistant Program. Instructors will deliver high-quality instruction through traditional, online, hybrid, and evening courses, ensuring students receive the knowledge and practical skills required for success in the healthcare field.

Adjunct faculty are vital to MCC’s mission of serving diverse learners and fostering an inclusive, student-first environment through innovative and engaging teaching methods.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver engaging classroom presentations, assignments, and lab demonstrations.

  • Develop and distribute course syllabi detailing objectives, requirements, attendance expectations, grading criteria, and office hours.

  • Maintain accurate grade and attendance records in the Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Submit grades, participation reports, and other documentation by established deadlines.

  • Attend adjunct faculty meetings and participate in required trainings.

  • Apply college policies, procedures, and academic standards consistently.

  • Adhere to scheduled class times and maintain professional attendance standards.

  • Support student academic success through availability, communication, and mentoring.

  • Stay current with trends, research, and best practices in medical assisting and healthcare education.

  • Collaborate effectively with full-time faculty and participate in departmental evaluation processes.

  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical, professional standards at all times.


Qualifications

Applicants must meet the minimum education and/or experience qualifications as outlined in the MCC Faculty Qualifications guidelines. Documentation verifying eligibility must be submitted with the application.

Compensation
