Description
The Adjunct Faculty – Phlebotomy will work closely with the Program Coordinator to teach courses in the Medical Assisting (MAS) program.
Examples of Duties

Demonstrate teaching skills by selecting and implementing effective instructional strategies.

Assess student achievement of the program’s learning objectives.

Meet with courses and laboratories at scheduled times.

Instruct, advise, and evaluate the performance of enrolled students.

Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, bibliographies, assignments, tests, and other course materials.

Maintain accurate student records, attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
Typical Qualifications

Minimum of an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in a related field.

Current state licensure and/or American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification.

Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
-
3–5 years of college-level teaching experience in an accredited Phlebotomy (PHB) program.

Experience in developing didactic and clinical outcomes/curricula at both program and course levels.

Excellent technology and classroom management skills.
Status and Salary
This is a regular adjunct faculty position. Salary will be determined according to the adjunct faculty union contract.
