Description

This position is responsible for preparing for and teaching courses in the Allied Health discipline to help students achieve learning outcomes. Course assignments may include classroom instruction, lab sessions, online courses, or dual enrollment programs.
Examples of Duties

Teach assigned classroom, lab, or online courses.

Develop and update course syllabi to ensure compliance with college and accreditation requirements.

Create and use appropriate assessment tools to measure course effectiveness and student outcomes.

Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.

Maintain accurate classroom records, including attendance and grades.

Hold office hours to assist and advise students.
-
Communicate regularly with faculty, library services, and academic departments.

Participate in departmental meetings, college committees, and professional development activities.

Support the mission, vision, and strategic initiatives of Mid Michigan College.

Adhere to college policies, procedures, and the Ethics for Teaching Professionals.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Education, Certification, and Licensure:
-
Minimum of an Associate degree in Medical Assisting required.

Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health, Health Care Education, Health Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
-
One to three years of college-level teaching experience in an Allied Health discipline strongly preferred.

Experience with online instruction is desirable.

Prior experience in a community college environment preferred.
