General Position Description
Valencia College is seeking Adjunct Faculty to teach in the Paramedics and EMTs discipline. The instructor will plan, organize, teach, and evaluate student learning in alignment with Valencia’s learning-centered philosophy. This role includes classroom instruction, feedback, and student support to promote mastery of program and course outcomes.
Faculty members are expected to demonstrate professional growth, maintain effective communication, and uphold college policies. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes and require on-campus presence.

Associate’s degree: $27.53/hour

Bachelor’s degree: $30.04/hour

Master’s degree: $32.71/hour

Doctorate: $36.40/hour
Essential Job Functions

Prepare and deliver instruction in assigned modalities (classroom, hybrid, or online).

Develop instructional materials and evaluate student mastery of learning outcomes.

Provide timely feedback on student progress and academic performance.

Submit required documentation including syllabi, attendance, and final grades.

Maintain current knowledge of student services and support resources.

Adhere to college policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Engage in ongoing professional development and certification maintenance.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Education and credentials as outlined in Valencia College’s Credentials Manual
(Available at: Valencia College Faculty Credentials Manual) -
Teaching experience at a community college level preferred.

Related field experience, licensure, certifications, honors, or achievements may substitute for formal teaching experience.

Work Environment & Conditions
This position operates in both classroom and office environments.
