About MCC
Metropolitan Community College is the oldest public institution of higher learning in Kansas City, Missouri, founded in 1915 as the Kansas City Polytechnic Institute. The Junior College of Kansas City, as it was known starting in 1919, was one of the first schools in the country to award an associate degree. Today, MCC offers 125 associate degree and certificate programs.

Job Summary
POOL POSITION
Application materials for this position is accepted on an on-going basis due to increasing demand.
Incumbent assists instructor(s) with non-instructional activities. This position may provide various forms of assistance from placing the cones on the range to maintaining the motorcycles used during course(s).
Essential Functions
- Assist instructors retrieve and store motorcycles out of storage
- Set up the range between exercises in various weather conditions
- Assist in other ways as needed to save time and to facilitate a smooth transition between exercises on the range portion of class
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma OR equivalent G.E.D.
- Six (6) months of experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License
- Additional applicant qualifications and experience will be taken into consideration.

- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with all constituencies of a diverse community
- Ability to work well with others
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Positions in this class typically require balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, grasping, hearing, kneeling, pulling, pushing, stooping, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, talking, visual acuity, and walking. The work requires exerting in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Incumbents may be exposed to hazardous physical conditions, such as mechanical parts, electrical currents, and vibrations; atmospheric conditions, such as fumes, odors, gases, and poor ventilation; extreme temperatures; intense noise; other environmental conditions.
