Position Summary

The college is seeking qualified Part-Time Faculty to teach Emergency Medical Services (EMS) related coursework at the North campus.
Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed as openings become available. These postings represent a pool of potential instructors, not current vacancies.

Part-time faculty are hired on an as-needed basis and will work for the duration of the assigned course. Instructors in these positions are not entitled to full-time employee benefits, rights, or privileges. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes and can be delivered in various modalities — including in-person, hybrid, or online formats — depending on program needs and student requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned Emergency Medical Services courses.

  • Prepare and deliver course content that aligns with college and program standards.

  • Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.

  • Provide students with timely feedback and support to promote success.

  • Follow college policies, procedures, and professional expectations.

  • Maintain an on-site presence as required by course delivery and program needs.


Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in Emergency Medical Services.

  • Current Texas Paramedic Certification.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or higher.

  • Knowledge of instructional methods and prior teaching experience preferred.
