Job Description and Position Requirements

Penn State Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is seeking multiple part-time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) at the University Park Campus.

This position will provide 911 emergency care on an ambulance or at special event venues as needed.

Applicants must hold current certifications from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an EMT and emergency vehicle operator, and be currently certified in CPR.

Applications will be received on an ongoing basis and reviewed as needs arise.

Background Checks/Clearances

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks:

  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check

  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance Form

  • Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check

This position also requires operating a motor vehicle as part of the job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required, in addition to standard background checks.
