Position Overview
This faculty position provides lecture and clinical instruction in Health Sciences and Clinical Lab Sciences courses.
It is a full-time (FAC) position under an annual contract issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees for the fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).

What You Will Be Doing
-
Facilitate teaching and learning in classroom, laboratory, and clinical environments.

Evaluate students and provide academic and career advising.
-
Plan and organize instructional materials to meet course objectives.

Participate in curriculum development and revision, emphasizing innovation and multicultural perspectives.

Engage in departmental recruitment and retention activities.
-
Serve on committees as assigned.
-
Prepare and submit student data to the Department Chairperson.

Teach day, evening, and weekend classes as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed

Bachelor’s degree in any field and Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care.

National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential.

Valid State of Florida Respiratory Therapist license.

Three (3) years of full-time work and/or instructional experience in the field.

All degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions.

Strong technology skills in instructional tools and student-centered learning methods.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environment.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites, and off-campus locations.

Start Date: On or before the Spring Semester 2026.

Doctoral stipend awarded in addition to base pay, if applicable.
Preferences
-
Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience in the field.
