Position Summary
Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) invites qualified candidates to apply for the part-time pool of Respiratory Therapy Instructors. This role supports our mission to provide high-quality, student-centered instruction in respiratory care. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and remain active for 12 months.
Selected instructors will teach part-time in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, helping prepare students for professional success in respiratory therapy.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements

Must reside in the state of Ohio.

Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or a closely related discipline.

Ability to integrate technology in teaching and clinical practice.

Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, and staff.

Capability to work in clinical environments and maintain up-to-date health records, background checks, and drug screens as required.

Commitment to student success and diverse instructional methods, including online learning systems (e.g., LMS).

Philosophy and teaching style aligned with the mission, values, and goals of Central Ohio Technical College.

Successful completion of a background check required.
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in the subject area from a regionally accredited institution.

Previous teaching experience in higher education.

Experience in curriculum development and student assessment.
