Position Overview
Athens Technical College seeks a qualified Surgical Technology Program Chair to oversee program development, administration, and evaluation. The position involves managing curriculum design, faculty development, student advising, accreditation maintenance, and external partnerships.
Responsibilities

Lead and evaluate the Surgical Technology program.

Oversee curriculum development and implementation.

Manage student recruitment and enrollment.
-
Assess and improve student learning outcomes.
-
Advise and mentor students.

Supervise and develop faculty.
-
Manage program budgets and resources.
-
Maintain program accreditation standards.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree.
-
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
-
Credentialed in Surgical Technology (NCCA-accredited).
-
At least five (5) years of experience as a surgical technologist or instructor (or combination) within the past ten (10) years.

Experience in instructional methodology, curriculum design, and program planning.
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree.

Postsecondary teaching experience.
