Position Overview
Athens Technical College is seeking a dedicated Adjunct Instructor in Surgical Technology to teach and support students in the Surgical Technology program. This part-time teaching position involves classroom instruction, student assessment, and maintaining program quality in alignment with institutional and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans for assigned courses.

Evaluate and monitor student progress toward learning goals.

Prepare and maintain accurate administrative and academic records.

Maintain classroom and laboratory environments, including safety equipment and inventory.

Contribute to student recruitment and retention efforts.

Demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, and collaboration within the academic community.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Associate’s degree.

Two (2) years of related professional experience.

Current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree.

Postsecondary teaching experience.
Compensation

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
