Position Overview
Harper College is seeking qualified Adjunct/Part-Time CompTIA Instructors to teach certification preparation courses within the Career and Technical Programs Division. The ideal candidate will bring both industry experience and instructional expertise to help students achieve success in CompTIA certification exams and develop essential technical skills.
About the Program
The Career and Technical Programs Division offers multiyear study paths that combine core academic learning with occupational and technical training. These programs help students transition into postsecondary education and career advancement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities

Teach CompTIA certification courses such as Tech+, A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Project+, Data+, DataSys+, and Cloud+.

Deliver instruction through online, in-person, or hybrid formats.

Follow approved course syllabi and meet established learning objectives.

Provide lecture and lab instruction using Blackboard, assessments, and CompTIA teaching materials.

Record student attendance and submit midterm and final grades (pass/fail).

Complete state-mandated training and adhere to college and departmental policies.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.

Preference given to candidates with current degrees or certifications in technology or related fields.

Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience Requirements:
-
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a relevant technical field.

Experience teaching adults in a classroom or professional training setting.

Schedule: Classes may be held during the day, evening, or weekends based on enrollment.
