Position Overview
The Business, Technology, and Workforce Education Division is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for Shielded Metal Arc Pipe Welding.

Welding120.002 โ Shielded Metal Arc Welding I
๐ Location: Sugar Grove
๐ Schedule: Mondays, 1:30 PM โ 5:30 PM (16 weeks)
Responsibilities
Adjunct faculty members are responsible for delivering curriculum, providing instruction, and performing student learning assessments. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective use of instructional and classroom technology to enhance learning.
Courses at Waubonsee may be offered in various delivery modes, including face-to-face, asynchronous online, synchronous online, hybrid, and flex.
Essential Functions:

Design syllabi, lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments that align with course and college learning outcomes.

Meet all college deadlines for submitting attendance, grades, and student learning assessment data.

Incorporate learning-centered principles that motivate and engage diverse learners.

Integrate instructional and classroom technology effectively to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

Collaborate with professional colleagues to support students and the community.
-
Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Associateโs degree in Industrial Technology or a related field, and/or relevant industry certification(s).
-
4,000 hours of work-related experience in the welding field.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Teaching experience in welding technology or a related field at a community college or vocational/technical institution.
-
Experience teaching traditionally underserved populations.
-
Experience using technology and multimedia applications in instruction.
-
Experience with multiple instructional modalities.
-
Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
