Position Summary
The Adjunct Welding Instructor reports directly to the Associate Dean of Instruction, CTE Programs, and works under the supervision of full-time faculty. This role is responsible for enhancing student learning through hands-on instruction, lab demonstrations, and classroom guidance that aligns with established curriculum and course materials.
This is a temporary, part-time position, scheduled semester by semester based on program needs. The position does not work between semesters and may require non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities

Instruct assigned welding courses as scheduled by the department.

Deliver engaging classroom presentations, labs, and demonstrations.

Assess student performance accurately and impartially, providing constructive feedback to improve skills.

Maintain adherence to class schedules and attendance standards.

Stay current with welding industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Uphold confidentiality regarding student information.

Remain available for student consultation and academic support.

Perform all duties in compliance with MCC’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the education and/or experience requirements outlined in MCC’s Faculty Qualifications for Welding Instructors.
Candidates must provide documentation verifying their eligibility to teach in this program.
