Position Summary
The Welding Technology Program at Allan Hancock College is seeking qualified applicants to join our pool of part-time faculty for upcoming instructional assignments. Positions are available for spring, summer, and fall terms and may include day or evening classes at various campus locations.
Teaching opportunities may include one or more of the following subjects:

Beginning Welding

Advanced Welding

Layout and Fabrication Interpretation

GMAW (MIG) Welding
-
TIG Welding
-
Pipe Fitting & Welding

Welding Certification

Welded Sculptural Projects
Please note: This is an in-person position; remote instruction is not available.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-
Provide engaging instruction aligned with established curriculum and course outlines.

Maintain current knowledge in welding and related technologies.
-
Adhere to professional and ethical standards of conduct.

Maintain accurate class records, including attendance and grading.
-
Fulfill all professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member.
-
Teach assigned day, evening, or weekend classes as scheduled.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution AND two (2) years of relevant industry experience; OR
-
Associate degree from an accredited institution AND six (6) years of relevant industry experience; OR
-
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidates applying based on equivalency must also submit an Application for Equivalency form.

Preferred: Prior teaching experience in welding or related fields.

Compensation
Hourly rates are based on education and experience:

Lecture Rate: $56.46 – $86.44 per hour

Lab Rate: $49.17 – $75.26 per hour

Activity Rate: $36.33 – $56.69 per hour
