Position Overview

The Adjunct Welding Instructor will teach a range of welding courses to help students achieve course requirements and success outcomes. Instruction may occur in classroom settings, welding labs, online, or through field experiences, including internships, Career and Technical Education (CTE), or dual enrollment programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned welding courses, emphasizing safety, environmental awareness, and industry standards.

  • Prepare welding labs for instruction (tools, equipment, supplies, student stations).

  • Maintain appropriate records, including attendance, grades, and lab inventories.

  • Assess student learning outcomes at both course and program levels.

  • Provide timely, constructive feedback and hold office hours for student support.

  • Support the development of competency-based learning objectives and outcomes.

  • Participate in departmental and institutional initiatives to enhance program quality.

  • Adhere to all College policies, procedures, and the Teaching Profession Code of Ethics.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education & Certification:

  • Welding Certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a welding or related industrial environment.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of welding processes and safety practices.

  • Ability to design and deliver effective learning experiences.

  • Proficiency in educational technology and computer applications.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and administration.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
