Overview:
The Chemistry Program at UA Little Rock seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biochemistry. The role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, including laboratory and special topics sessions, and establishing a strong research program in bench/wet biochemistry. Collaboration with the Biology Department and local research institutes (e.g., UAMS) is encouraged. The program offers access to advanced instrumentation (GC/MS, LC/MS, NMR, ESR) and computational resources.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry or a closely related field (must be completed before employment).

  • Strong commitment to student-centered education and research.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postdoctoral research experience.

  • Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate biochemistry courses and labs.
