Position Summary
La Salle University’s BUSCA Program invites applications for part-time adjunct instructors to teach Life Science: A Human Approach, a core course in the associate degree program designed for English Language Learners (ELLs).
The course follows a hybrid format, with 90 minutes of in-person instruction and 75 minutes of asynchronous online learning each week over a 15–16 week semester. Instructors will teach course-specific content while supporting students’ English language development.
Essential Duties

Deliver engaging lectures and learning activities during each scheduled class session.

Develop a syllabus that aligns with the Provost’s Syllabus Checklist.

Create assessments aligned with learning outcomes.

Respond promptly to student inquiries and provide academic support.

Utilize Canvas and other technology to enhance instruction.

Follow all University and BUSCA Program policies.

Attend faculty meetings and submit grades, materials, and assessment data on time.

Communicate student concerns with program personnel.
Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Biology, Education, or a related discipline.

Experience or training working with English Language Learners.
Additional Information
This is a pooled position; candidates will be contacted if a departmental need arises. The pool is refreshed annually during the summer, and applicants must reapply to remain active.
