Description
Erskine College invites applications for full-time, tenure-track assistant or associate professor positions in chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Physics. The ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Chemistry, a genuine enthusiasm for teaching in an undergraduate liberal arts environment, and a desire to shape the vision and future of chemical sciences at Erskine College in cooperation with the administration.
Erskine College provides a small, tight-knit Christian liberal arts community where faculty develop deep relationships with students and colleagues and integrate faith into the classroom. Candidates should be professing Christians committed to exploring the intersections of faith and learning with students.
Responsibilities
Qualified candidates should expect a full teaching load including, but not limited to:

General chemistry and associated labs each semester
-
Organic chemistry and associated labs each semester
-
Biochemistry and associated labs each semester
-
Chemistry for non-science majors and associated lab each year
-
Physical and analytical chemistry courses and labs on a biennial schedule
-
Seminar courses for juniors and seniors each year
-
Inorganic chemistry and environmental chemistry and lab as needed
Qualifications

Master’s degree required; Ph.D. in Chemistry preferred

Personal relationship with Jesus Christ

Commitment to Erskine’s mission, vision, and statement of faith
