Position Summary
The Center for Bioelectronics at Old Dominion University is seeking a full-time Research Associate with expertise in biosensor and bioelectronics development. The candidate will contribute to research in metabolites, molecular biology, cardiovascular diseases, point-of-care diagnostics, and student mentoring. Responsibilities include conducting sponsored research and assisting in the development and execution of externally funded proposals and projects.
The appointment is at the Research Associate level, with an anticipated start date of May 2026.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Education:

Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials/Polymer Science, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, or a related field by the hire date
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

Potential for success in research, teaching, and securing external research grants
Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated potential for collaboration with current Bioelectronics faculty or interdisciplinary collaboration with other ODU researchers
