Adjunct Faculty – Computer Science (Bilingual English/Spanish)
Summary:
APUS is seeking bilingual (English/Spanish) adjunct faculty with a doctoral degree to teach online Computer Science courses delivered in Spanish. Faculty must demonstrate strong commitment to teaching, student engagement, academic excellence, and support of a diverse, multilingual student population. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, in writing and verbally.
Requirements:

Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution

Minimum two years of industry experience in computer science or data science

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written)

Proficiency testing in both languages required during the hiring process

Ability to translate, interpret, and communicate complex technical information clearly

Experience supporting or engaging with Spanish-speaking students preferred
-
College-level teaching experience preferred

Online teaching experience preferred
-
Strong record of teaching excellence
General Work Requirements:

Must complete Engaging the First-Year Student Certification (APUS110) within 6 months of hire

Graduate faculty must also complete Graduate Faculty Certification (APUS501) within 90 days
-
Must follow APUS faculty policies, course assignment requirements, and intellectual property guidelines

Remote work environment required; APUS is not responsible for injuries or damages in a personal workspace

Maintain expertise in assigned discipline and engage in mentoring, coaching, and ongoing professional growth
