About HKUST(GZ):
Established in 2022, HKUST(GZ) is a cross-disciplinary research university operating under a new “Hub” and “Thrust” model. The university will host 800 faculty, 4,000 undergraduates, and 6,000 postgraduates at full scale.

About the AI Thrust:
The Artificial Intelligence Thrust (part of the Information Hub) focuses on foundational and applied AI research. The Thrust promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and aims to build an AI research ecosystem serving the Greater Bay Area with global impact.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in AI or related discipline is required.

Tenure-Track Roles:

• Assistant Professor: Strong research and teaching potential

• Associate Professor: Proven record in research, teaching, supervision, funding

• Professor: International academic leadership and world-class achievements

Teaching-Track Roles:

• Demonstrated university-level teaching ability

• Passion for education, curriculum design, and student mentorship

• Ability to teach AI courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels

• Prior higher education teaching experience preferred, especially for senior roles
