Summary:
Widener University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Computer Science, a full-time temporary (non-tenure track) position beginning Fall 2026, with the possibility of renewal. The role reports to the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.

The department seeks candidates with strong undergraduate teaching experience and a commitment to inclusive excellence. Applicants with experience working with diverse students, faculty, and staff are strongly encouraged.

Essential Duties:

• Teach introductory (1st–2nd year) Computer Science courses for majors and non-majors

• Teach upper-level electives, including Assembly Language

• Potential to teach introductory mathematics courses

• Maintain weekly office hours

• Participate in weekly departmental meetings and faculty development activities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field

• Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduates

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of college-level teaching experience

• Ability to teach Assembly Language, introductory/intermediate CS courses, and Introductory Mathematics
