Position Overview
UMGC seeks adjunct faculty to teach remotely in the Cybersecurity Management and Policy Program. Ideal candidates are scholar-practitioners—professionals actively engaged in the cybersecurity field—who are passionate about teaching adult learners.
Key Responsibilities

Engage students with enthusiasm and frequent interaction.

Guide students in problem- and project-based learning.

Provide constructive feedback using rubrics and acknowledge student accomplishments.

Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and connect concepts across courses.

Offer feedback to program leadership on potential curriculum improvements.

Successfully complete two-week online faculty orientation (FacDev 411) as a condition of hire.
Required Education & Experience
-
Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field from an accredited institution.

Professional experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
-
Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is preferred.
Preferred Certifications
-
CISSP, CISA, CISM, IPP, CRISC, CCISO
