Position Overview
UMGC is seeking adjunct faculty to teach remotely in the Computer Networking and Security program. The role is ideal for practicing cybersecurity professionals with current expertise in Cisco Enterprise Systems, networking, and IT, who are passionate about teaching adult learners in higher education.
Required Education & Credentials

Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field from an accredited institution.

Active certification in CCNA, Linux, or CEH.

Professional experience in Cisco systems, networking, and IT.

Preferred experience teaching adult learners online.
Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities
-
Actively engage students through interactive online teaching.

Guide students in problem- and project-based learning.

Provide constructive feedback using rubrics for assessments.

Maintain current subject-matter expertise and connect concepts across the curriculum.

Offer feedback to program chairs for curricular improvements.

Participate in faculty orientation and professional development (FacDev 411).

Salary & Hiring Range

Instructor: $806 – $1,050 per credit hour

Adjunct Professor with Terminal Degree: $1,347 – $1,645 per credit hour
