About the Program

The position is housed within the Center for Data & Society, an interdisciplinary department integrating computer science, mathematics, and social sciences. The Computer & Information Science program includes concentrations in:

• Management

• Programming

• Application Development

• Interactive Design

• Technology

• Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

The department also supports interdisciplinary programs such as Data Science, Business Analytics, and Data Studies for Social Good.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach 12 credits per semester in upper-level Computer Information Science courses.

• Advise major and minor students on academic planning.

• Participate in curriculum development and program assessment.

• Engage in committee work and promote the mission of the college.

• Maintain an on-campus presence.

Required Qualifications

Additional requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of practical industry experience in Computer Science.

• Evidence of ongoing professional growth.

• Strong problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.

• Experience using Canvas or similar LMS preferred.

• Previous college teaching experience (especially junior/senior-level CS courses) is a plus.
