Job Overview
The University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute (UTARI) invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Research specializing in Big Data for Healthcare Applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate interdisciplinary expertise and a strong research history aligned with UTARI’s mission of translating academic research into real-world solutions.
Qualified researchers with proven experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, health informatics, human-computer interaction, personalized medicine, or health outcomes are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities

Engage in collaborative and independent research focused on Big Data in healthcare.

Work with UTARI faculty and research personnel, along with other UTA departments.

Publish research findings in high-impact journals.

Participate in securing funding through research grant proposal development and submission.
Required Qualifications
-
Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Minimum of five years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated history of funded research as Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI).

Strong record of scholarly contributions in related research areas.
