Position Overview
The Department of Geographic & Environmental Sciences is seeking part-time lecturers to teach undergraduate courses for one semester, with possible renewal based on departmental needs.
Courses may be offered in-person or via distance education and include:

Human Geography

Physical Geography
-
Environmental Sciences
-
Mapping and Geospatial Technologies
-
Introduction to GIS
-
Advanced GIS
-
Meteorology
-
Web Mapping
-
Related fields
Preference will be given to candidates holding an M.S. degree at the time of appointment.
Responsibilities
Part-time lecturers are expected to:

Use Blackboard for course management (syllabus submission, materials, grades).

Order textbooks or relevant course materials.
-
Provide developmentally meaningful feedback.
-
Deliver engaging and interactive learning experiences.
-
Respond to students in a timely manner.
-
Maintain communication with the academic program director.
-
Submit final grades before university deadlines.
-
Complete required documents, such as attestation disclosure forms and annual evaluations.
