Personnel & Supervision:

Recruit, appoint, and retain faculty and staff

Foster a positive departmental climate

Recommend salaries, promotions, tenure, and reappointments

Assign teaching, service, and committee duties

Evaluate performance and support faculty development
Resource Management:

Manage departmental budgets and resources responsibly

Oversee facilities, equipment, and supply needs
Curriculum & Policy Development:

Collaborate with faculty to maintain strong academic programs and curricula

Lead strategic planning aligned with college and University priorities
Leadership & Advocacy:

Implement and communicate University and college policies
