Position Description
The School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (SoMAS) at Stony Brook University invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty position to teach:

GSS 313/513: GIS Design and Application I (3 credits)
-
GSS 314: GIS Laboratory (1 credit)
The successful candidates will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses and mentor students. This is a non-tenure track, FLSA exempt position.

Qualifications
Required:
-
Master’s Degree (or higher) or Graduate Certificate in Geography, GIS, or a related field
Preferred:
-
Experience teaching undergraduate or graduate courses in geography, GIS, or related fields

Experience in course and curriculum development
-
Experience mentoring undergraduate or graduate students
-
Experience providing instruction in asynchronous online environments
