Industrial experience is also welcomed.

Applicants must hold a doctorate in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field by the start of the appointment. A bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution is preferred. Candidates should be prepared to teach undergraduate integrated lecture/laboratory courses.

The Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering (ECBE) at MSOE is dedicated to supporting students in achieving their full potential and contributing to global society. Faculty are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching excellence, continuous improvement in teaching, and ongoing professional development. The university values a broad range of scholarly activities, including engineering education research and the development of industry partnerships.

MSOE is a unique academic institution with deep ties to industry. The university prioritizes serving students and fostering the next generation of leaders.

Under its mission, MSOE is committed to building an inclusive community of experiential learners dedicated to solving complex challenges. Its six core values—collaboration, excellence, inclusion, innovation, integrity, and stewardship—guide campus culture. Through its strategic plan, Extraordinary Together, MSOE continues to strengthen its role as a leader in engineering education.

Faculty at MSOE benefit from competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; a 403(b) retirement plan with up to 6% company match and immediate vesting; educational benefits for employees and family members; access to a modern fitness center and on-site dining; paid parental leave; and more. The university’s downtown Milwaukee location offers proximity to the lakefront, cultural institutions, sports venues, parks, and shopping.

The review of applications will begin upon receipt and continue until the position is filled. Applicants should upload a single PDF containing: (1) a letter of interest, (2) a detailed CV, (3) three professional references, (4) a statement of technical teaching interests, and (5) evidence of successful teaching, if available.
