Position Overview
Indiana University Luddy School seeks a full-time lecturer-track faculty member to teach and mentor graduate students in Library and Information Science. The position emphasizes teaching, curriculum development, and service, with opportunities to integrate emerging technologies, educational technology, and AI tools into instruction.
Appointment: 10-month, annually renewable based on performance (summer teaching opportunities available).

Key Responsibilities

Teach graduate-level courses (typically four courses per semester, 3–5 different courses per academic year)

Supervise independent studies and mentor graduate students

Contribute to course and curriculum development

Participate in departmental, school, and professional service (committees, initiatives, task forces)

Integrate generative AI and related tools to enhance student learning
Required Qualifications
-
ALA-accredited MLS or MLIS degree
-
5+ years professional experience in one or more relevant areas

Knowledge of pedagogical theory and effective teaching practice

Demonstrated graduate-level teaching effectiveness
-
Ability to adapt teaching methods for evolving technologies and student needs

Commitment to departmental and school service
Preferred Qualifications

Previous instructional experience in higher education

Experience with curriculum design and assessment initiatives
