Position Overview

Saint Martin’s University, a private Catholic, Benedictine university in Western Washington, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Mathematics beginning August 2026.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (required).

  • Teaching experience is highly desirable.

  • Expertise in applied mathematics or statistics is preferred.

  • Strong commitment to undergraduate education and ability to teach courses across all levels of the undergraduate mathematics curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate mathematics courses (standard teaching load: 24 semester credit hours per year).

  • Advise students and participate in departmental and university-wide service.

  • Engage in curriculum development and mentor undergraduate research projects.

  • Support the Catholic, Benedictine liberal arts mission of the university.

Applicants must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. from the start date of the appointment. The position is subject to final budgetary approval.
