Position Overview
Northeast State Community College is accepting applications for a pool of qualified adjunct faculty to teach as needed for upcoming semesters.

Temporary teaching positions, filled semester-by-semester.

Availability varies, including day, evening, traditional, dual enrollment, or Career Technical Education (CTE) classes.

Adjunct faculty may be required to travel to any NeSCC campus: Blountville, Elizabethton, Gray, or Kingsport.

Responsibilities

Deliver quality instruction per semester schedule.

Comply with Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) and NeSCC policies.

Demonstrate excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Utilize technology as recommended.

Maintain accurate records and comply with FERPA regulations.

Administer surveys and evaluations.
-
Notify appropriate personnel if unable to meet a scheduled class.
-
Respond to D2L and institutional email within 48 hours.
-
Adhere to deadlines for assigned duties.

Complete Title IX and VI training and other online programs.
-
Follow professional code of conduct.
-
Complete other duties as assigned.
Compensation: Generally $620 per credit hour.
Qualifications
Qualifications vary by discipline. Generally:

Doctorate or master’s degree in the teaching discipline, or master’s with 18+ graduate semester hours in the discipline for general education/transfer courses.

Associate or bachelor’s degree with demonstrated competencies for certain technical/CTE disciplines.
