Position Summary

Teach assigned mathematics courses at various levels.

Utilize the college Learning Management System (LMS) for grading, assignments, communication, and student records.

Plan course content, select texts, and maintain classroom materials.

Provide student interaction outside of class (minimum 1 hour per week per 3 credit hours).

Participate in student learning assessments and maintain accurate records.
-
Attend faculty, division, and in-service meetings.
-
Stay current with mathematics research and adhere to FERPA and institutional policies.
Qualifications
Minimum:
-
Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related discipline.

At least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics, Statistics, or Mathematics Education.

Commitment to the community college mission.
Preferred:
-
Master’s in Mathematics or Education with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics/Statistics and a bachelor’s in Mathematics or related discipline.

College-level teaching experience.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Primarily indoor classroom environment.

Frequent standing, talking, hearing, and hand/finger use required.
