About XJTLU

About the Department of Physics

The Department of Physics, part of the School of Mathematics and Physics, explores fundamental aspects of the universe, from subatomic particles to cosmology. Research focuses on practical applications such as quantum technologies, advanced imaging, and materials science.

The department delivers undergraduate and PhD programs and encourages interdisciplinary collaborations across XJTLU, including the School of Advanced Technology, School of Science, Design School, and Academy of Pharmacy. Partnerships extend internationally with Xi’an Jiaotong University and the University of Liverpool.

The Department of Physics invites applications for faculty positions in Medical Physics, including expertise in diagnostic imaging, radiation physics, nuclear medicine, computational modeling, and related theoretical approaches.

Rank: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor (exceptional candidates).

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research and publish in top journals.

• Secure external research funding.

• Supervise PhD, Master’s, and undergraduate research projects.

• Teach physics and mathematics at undergraduate and graduate levels in English.

• Contribute actively to departmental and school operations.

• International higher education experience.

Citizenship and Visa Regulations

Employment is subject to Chinese Labour Laws and provincial regulations. Candidates over 65 may not be eligible for a work visa in China.
