Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering.

The Faculty of Engineering seeks a candidate with a strong commitment to teaching and research. The successful applicant will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, student supervision, and academic research in Biomedical Engineering.
The successful candidate will:

Teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
-
Develop new courses and programmes; update and improve existing course material.
-
Conduct original, high-quality research suitable for publication in reputable journals.
-
Contribute scholarly input to the Faculty’s outreach programmes.
-
Prepare grant proposals to support research activities.
-
Participate in university committees and boards.
-
Support administrative and leadership functions within the Faculty.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
-
PhD/MSc in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a closely related field.

Certificate in University Teaching or equivalent certification.
-
Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant teaching experience at the university level.
-
Proven experience in laboratory instruction and developing practical course components.
-
Demonstrated evidence of research activity with potential for publication.
-
Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
-
Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse academic environment.
Candidates with the following will have an advantage:
-
PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a related field.

Strong research background with peer-reviewed publications.
-
Experience supervising MPhil/PhD students.
-
Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
-
Evidence of successful grant acquisition and industry collaboration.
-
Experience developing biomedical engineering curricula and laboratory-based courses.
-
Membership in relevant professional organizations.
