Job Summary

The Department of Physics is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on the growth of wide bandgap semiconductors, including cubic boron nitride. This experimental position involves research, data collection, and mentoring students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sample preparation, data collection, and analysis

• Manuscript preparation and presentation at meetings

• Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students

• Recording and maintaining experimental data

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: PhD in Physics or a closely related field

• Experience: At least 3 years of experimental research experience

• Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with crystal growth and characterization tools

  • Laboratory equipment maintenance

  • Academic writing and publication record

  • Clear oral and written communication

  • Attention to detail
