Position Overview

  • Full-time, non-tenure track teaching position.

  • Focus on undergraduate education in physics, including lecture and laboratory sections for first- and second-year students.

  • Potential to teach upper-division electives for junior and senior physics majors.

  • Participation in weekly departmental faculty meetings and engagement in pedagogical development.

  • Contributions to research and service are optional but can support promotion to higher teaching ranks.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Required: Master’s degree in Physics and demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate students.

  • Preferred: Ph.D. in Physics.

  • Must be available for in-person instruction and able to supervise lab activities physically.


Duties & Responsibilities

Teaching:

  • Lead lecture and lab sections for physics majors and non-majors.

  • Provide academic guidance and maintain office hours.

Departmental Engagement:

  • Participate in faculty meetings, planning, and student support initiatives.

  • Support departmental operations and mission alignment.

Secondary Duties:

  • Other tasks as assigned to support the department, college, or university.
