Position Overview

Conduct independent research in 2D material physics.

Opportunities to collaborate with faculty, supervise graduate and undergraduate students, and participate in public engagement.

Year-to-year appointment expected to renew through 2028, contingent on funding and performance.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field by the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Ph.D. in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics.

Research experience in:

2D material device fabrication
-
Electron beam lithography nanofabrication
-
Low-temperature magneto-transport
-
Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM)

Scanning near-field optical microscopy

Low-temperature optical microscopy

Responsibilities
-
Lead and develop independent research projects.

Disseminate results via publications and presentations.

Collaborate with faculty and scholars; mentor students.

Organize collaborative meetings, workshops, and visitor programs.
