Position Overview

Establish a strong research program in experimental, theoretical, or computational physics.

Mentor undergraduate and graduate students.

Teach typically one 3-credit course per semester, with research-active faculty teaching a reduced load (1:1).

Participate in outreach, community involvement, and service on department/college/university committees.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field by time of hire.

Record of research activity in physics, demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications.

Evidence of synergy with existing departmental or college research strengths.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Productive postdoctoral experience or equivalent.

Potential to secure external research funding.

Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate physics courses beyond TA duties.
