UMGC seeks adjunct faculty to teach remotely for its Mathematics program. Courses include:
Courses
Topics for Mathematical Literacy (MATH 105):

Investigation of contemporary mathematics topics

Application of mathematical processes to solve problems in exponential/logarithmic modeling, personal finance, probability, logical thinking, and statistical reasoning
College Algebra (MATH 107):
-
Introduction to equations, inequalities, and functions
-
Development of graphing skills with polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions
-
Application of technology, fluency in algebra, operations on numbers and functions, mathematical modeling for applied problems
Introduction to Statistics (STAT 200):
-
Assessment of statistical conclusions and data analysis
-
Topics include sampling, probability, distributions (normal, t, chi-square), confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, and ANOVA
-
Focus on selecting appropriate statistical tests and making inferences from data
Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field from an accredited institution

Professional experience in Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields

Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education preferred

Remote teaching capability
Preferred Qualifications:

Terminal degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
