Position Overview

PMU invites applications for full-time faculty to teach physics courses such as Introductory Physics and Physics for Engineers I & II in the Fall and Spring semesters, with possible Summer teaching opportunities. Faculty will also engage in academic advising, curriculum development, student assessment, office hours, and institutional/professional service.

The Core Curriculum Program emphasizes global competencies aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, including communication, technology, critical thinking, professional development, teamwork, and leadership.


Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Physics from a Western university (minimum 30 semester hours beyond master’s and bachelor’s)

  • At least 2 years of college-level teaching experience preferred

  • Ability to teach in English

  • For Associate/Full Professor applicants: provide a promotion letter from a prior institution

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Scholarly/professional development in physics

  • Student advisement and mentoring

  • Committee participation and institutional service

  • Curriculum development and quality assurance


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop courses and programs within physics

  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
