The Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC) is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Faculty member for its Doctor of Chiropractic program. This role focuses on teaching, mentoring, and assessing students in clinical settings while ensuring high-quality patient care aligned with the SCU Spine Care Pathway and Whole Health principles. Faculty members provide clinical guidance across SCU clinics and partner locations, support student remediation, participate in departmental activities, and uphold best practices in clinical education.
Key Responsibilities

Provide and supervise patient care following SCU Health standards and Whole Health principles.

Teach, mentor, and evaluate clinical interns in diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management.

Use evidence-informed teaching strategies to support clinical skill development.

Adapt supervision based on student performance and assessment results.

Conduct evaluations, provide feedback, and oversee student remediation plans.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with policies, including patient records and intern evaluations.

Grade clinical assignments in Canvas and approve clinical hours in Exxat Prism weekly.

Participate in departmental and clinic meetings to support ongoing improvement.

Stay current with clinical practices, educational methods, and professional development.

Comply with SCU Faculty Handbook and all institutional policies.

Support clinic operations and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Licensure:
-
Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from a CCE-accredited program, eligible for California licensure.

Bachelor of Science in Education or higher preferred.
Experience & Skills:
-
Proven clinical expertise and teaching experience in chiropractic care.

Ability to mentor students effectively and foster professional development.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Spanish-speaking preferred.
Technical Skills:
-
Proficient with electronic health records and Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with assessment platforms such as Zoho and Exxat Prism.
Certifications (Preferred):
-
McKenzie (MDT) certification

Primary Spine Practitioner (PSP) certification

Credentialing with insurance providers (Medicare, Optum, Landmark, ASH) is preferred.
