Troy University’s College of Health Sciences invites applications for the inaugural Director of Chiropractic Education, a full-time, non-tenure track position starting January 1, 2026, or until filled. The role combines program leadership, faculty supervision, curriculum development, and teaching responsibilities for the new Doctor of Chiropractic program on the Dothan campus. Applicants must hold a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree and possess eligibility to work in the U.S.

Overview

The College of Health Sciences encompasses the School of Allied Health, School of Nursing, and School of Social Work and Human Services. The Director will oversee the Doctor of Chiropractic program, ensuring compliance with Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) standards, supporting scholarly activities, and contributing to community, college, and university initiatives. Non-tenure track faculty are expected to teach a 5/5 load or equivalent, with potential course reductions for administrative duties.

The Dothan campus serves primarily adult learners and offers a rich environment for experiential learning, including walking and biking trails, a pond, and a stream, supporting both recreation and wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise faculty and staff within the chiropractic program.

  • Oversee program operations, curriculum design, and accreditation processes.

  • Lead self-study preparation and submission of letters of intent for CCE accreditation.

  • Teach courses within the chiropractic program, maintaining high-quality instruction.

  • Ensure compliance with CCE standards, academic policies, and institutional requirements.

  • Participate in scholarly activities and community engagement initiatives.

  • Serve on university, college, and departmental committees.

  • Recruit students and faculty, supporting program growth and development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree.

  • At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.

  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience within a chiropractic education program.

  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Administrative experience within a Doctor of Chiropractic program.

  • Experience managing CCE accreditation compliance.

  • Academic program management and leadership experience.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Onsite work primarily at the Dothan campus; driving may be necessary but not a primary responsibility.

  • Physical demands: Standard office and classroom activities; no hazardous conditions.
