Overview

The Campus Director provides leadership, supervision, and accountability for the Long Island Campus academic programs. This role includes administrative oversight, faculty mentoring, student support, instructional leadership, and coordination of campus operations to ensure academic excellence and compliance with accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Responsibilities (60%)

  • Maintain a safe and effective learning environment, including student behavior and campus safety programs.

  • Coordinate scheduling and room reservations, ensuring alignment with faculty, student, and program needs.

  • Facilitate student support services including registration, technology, and academic advising.

  • Support enrollment management and collaborate with partner institutions for student admissions.

  • Maintain campus equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

  • Ensure academic programs meet accreditation standards and provide data for program evaluations.

  • Supervise and evaluate the administrative assistant and assist in faculty hiring and scheduling.

  • Organize campus events to support students, staff, and faculty.

Instructional Leadership (40%)

  • Lead or assist with laboratory instruction in diagnosis and technique courses.

  • Mentor adjunct faculty on best practices for lab instruction.

  • Advise and mentor students, promoting academic excellence.

  • Conduct classroom observations and proctor examinations as needed.

Methods of Accountability

  • Communication with Assistant Vice President for Chiropractic.

  • Feedback from faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders.

  • Supervision of campus administrative staff.

  • Annual performance evaluation with input from stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

  • Licensed to practice in New York State for clinical science subjects (e.g., CLS, DIA, TCH).

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years teaching experience.

  • Minimum 3 years clinical practice experience preferred.

  • Leadership experience in higher education preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Effective faculty management and course scheduling skills.

  • Knowledge of state, regional, and programmatic accreditation processes.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to promote student engagement, retention, and success.

  • Leadership and training skills in a collaborative, data-informed environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Driving/travel as required by College Motor Vehicle Use Policy.

  • Motor Vehicle Report checks conducted annually.
