Position Overview

TCDM seeks a faculty member in Oral Radiology to provide innovative teaching, interprofessional patient care, and scholarly activity. The role emphasizes integrative instruction, clinical consultation, and protocol development for CBCT and maxillofacial imaging, along with collaboration across health professions.


Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction

  • Deliver case-based instruction to predoctoral dental students and other learners.

  • Collaborate with faculty to support the integrated dental curriculum.

Clinical Services & Protocol Development

  • Provide consultation services in student clinics.

  • Establish CBCT and maxillofacial radiographic reading services.

  • Develop evidence-based protocols for imaging, interpretation, and clinical workflow.

Collaboration & Interdisciplinary Engagement

  • Collaborate across Oral Health Science and Oral Health Practice divisions.

  • Provide interdisciplinary patient care in partnership with other health professions.

Service, Scholarship & Leadership

  • Contribute to scholarly and service activities that advance TCDM’s mission.

  • Participate in institutional initiatives and academic service.


Requirements

  • DMD or DDS from a CODA-accredited institution.

  • Graduate of a CODA-accredited Oral Radiology residency program.

  • License to practice dentistry in Kentucky or faculty limited licensure.

  • Board certification or board-eligible in Oral Radiology preferred.

  • Previous experience supervising predoctoral dental students preferred.
